Work At Camp

Virtual Cabin Leader //  July 5, 2021 – August 27, 2021 // Onsite – Meals & Accommodations    APPLY NOW

This position will be responsible for working with a team of virtual program staff who will develop and facilitate a quality, Christian digital summer camp program using the Orange VBS curriculum material. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): daily digital team meetings to plan/discuss/prepare program, work independently to complete assigned tasks/duties following team meetings, work together to facilitate online summer camp program (ex: leading songs/games/activities, assisting with technical support, teaching lessons, leading prayer, hosting guests, leading breakout group discussions, etc.), assist with promotion of camp/registration and participation in daily staff discipleship program.

  • This position will work at minimum of 30 hours/week at a salary of $15.00/hour
  • This position is an onsite position that includes meals and accommodations as a taxable benefit. Staff will be required to follow all applicable covid-19 restrictions and requirements as determined by both the Alberta Provincial Government and The Salvation Army (training and direct supervision will be provided).
  • Minimum qualifications: completed Grade 9 education
  • This position supports a Salvation Army Youth and Young Adult development initiative so priority will be given to those that meet that criteria.

Caretaker & Custodian // July 5, 2021 – August 27, 2021 // Onsite – Meals & Accommodations    APPLY NOW

This position will be responsible for working as a team to complete all assigned tasks and duties as directed by the Camp Operations Manager, Camp Hospitality Manger and Camp Directors (Divisional Youth Secretaries). Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): general housekeeping duties (ex: general laundry, cleaning of various camp buildings, regular upkeep and sanitization of public RV Park washrooms/laundry room, assistance in dishpit, etc.), emptying garbage bins, general grounds-keeping (ex: garden upkeep, mowing lawns, maintaining walking trails, etc.) and assistance with various projects both indoors and outdoors (ex: painting, minor facility repairs, BMX track repairs, inventory/organization of storage areas, etc.) and participation in daily staff discipleship program.

  • This position will work at minimum of 30 hours/week at a salary of $15.00/hour
  • This position is an onsite position that includes meals and accommodations as a taxable benefit.
